The American Legion Post 147 of Payson, Arizona is a valuable resource for veterans and their families. Not only do we assist the veteran community in the Payson area, we also have the award winning Payson Military Honor Guard for veterans that have passed, and provide full military honors including 21 gun salute at no cost to the veterans family. We fund and support the 60 foot U.S. flag on the south side of Payson, the 40 foot flag on the north side of Payson, and the 25 foot flag in Star Valley. We also support Coffee Time with Vets, a group of 100+ veterans that meet every Tuesday morning at Mount Cross Lutheran Church at 8:00. Coffee and doughnuts provided at no cost, and we discuss current veteran issues and support for our military community.
